Body found near Cannon Beach; police say may be missing Beaverton teen
CANNON BEACH, Ore. — Cannon Beach Police believe the body of Jacob Stokes has been located.
In a statement on the Cannon Beach Police Department Facebook page, the department said “Early this morning, a body was discovered in the tideline in Tolovana. Based on the circumstances we believe it to be that of the missing swimmer from May 12th. Please continue to keep the family and friends in your thoughts and prayers.”

Stokes was one of four Mountain Side Students who were swept out to sea when they were hit by a wave and pulled out in a rip tide.
Two students were able to get out of the water on their own. One had to be rescued by a rescue swimmer.
