There are long queues on the A470 on Thursday after an early morning crash. Traffic officers are on the scene of the crash on the southbound carriageway.

Traffic cameras are showing queues and heavy congestion around the Upper Boat Junction at 6.30am.. One lane at the interchange was closed.

Lanes re-opened around 7.15am as the vehicles involved were moved to the hard shoulder, but at 7.20am the length of time travelling between Pontypridd and the Coryton Interchange at junction 32 of the M4 was nearly 40 minutes.

By 8.20am, traffic had started to ease and return to normal for the time, but an accident on the M4 was also causing issues. The vehicle involved was moved quickly to the hard shoulder and all lanes were re-opened but it was causing knock on delays eastbound between Cardiff and Newport.
