Downtown Wilkes-Barre in the dark due to power outage

WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE CO, (WOLF) — A power outage has left thousands in the dark and in Wilkes-Barre on Friday morning.
PPL reports that nearly 3,000 customers are without power in the downtown and Heights areas of Wilkes-Barre.
The F.M. Kirby Center announced that its administrative and Box Offices are closed due to the outages.
Approximately 300 customers in Wilkes-Barre Township are without power as well.
Traffic lights in the area remain out at this time. PPL says the power should be restored around 11:30 AM.
