Ohio BCI called to investigate officer-involved shooting in Middletown
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio —Police are on the scene of an investigation after a shooting on Towne Boulevard in Middletown.
WLWT has learned that Middletown Police asked Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation to investigate a shooting involving an officer.
Multiple units are on the scene at Towne Boulevard.
“No officers were injured,” Steve Irwin of BCI told Fox19.
Middletown Police Chief David Birk also confirmed that all officers are safe.
FOX19 is currently speaking with police crews at the scene and will continue to update this story as more information becomes available.
