UPDATES: Cop killed and up to six officers shot by armed hostage-taker dad barricaded in Kentucky home with wife and daughter
Deputies said Lance Storz, 49, barricaded himself in a home with his wife and daughter in Allen, Kentucky on Thursday.


The officers were trying to serve a court-issued warrant relating to a domestic violence situation when the shooting unfolded.
Floyd County Sheriff John Hunt revealed that one deputy was killed in the gunfire. He has not been identified.
Meanwhile, several officers were taken to hospital where they have been treated for their injuries.
Storz is facing charges of murder and murder of a police officer, WAVE3 reports.

He was booked into jail just before 5am on Friday.
Cops said the suspect’s wife and daughter were safely rescued from the property.
Matt Gayheart, of Kentucky Police, described the situation as “dynamic”.
He told KFVS12: “A lot of stuff to cipher through and go through before we had more information.”
Governor Andy Beshear said in a statement: “Tonight I ask the commonwealth to join Britain and I in holding Floyd County in prayer, especially the family and loved ones of those who have responded to a barricade situation involving a shooting.”
Officials from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives confirmed the reports that there was a shooting and a person barricaded themselves.
A spate of violence has hit America in recent weeks.
Mom Azsia Johnson was shot in the head while pushing a baby in a stroller in New York’s Upper East Side on June 29.
A five-month-old baby was among at least 14 people killed as a series of shootings rocked the US last weekend.
Cecilia Thomas was killed when she was being driven home by her father in Chicago’s South Side on June 24.
Coroners in Cook County revealed that she died from a gunshot wound to the head, ABC News reports.
Dozens of people were shot as gun violence was reported in Chicago and Dallas and chaos erupted at two Pride events in San Francisco and New York City.
Cops revealed that five people were injured in a shooting at a trail ride concert in Winnona, Texas on June 26.
Witnesses told police that there was an alleged altercation before shots were fired, LOVEBYLIFE reports.
And, shots were fired at a dance party held in Tacoma, Washington on Sunday, leaving eight people injured.
Cops said the party was being held near car dealerships and garages, ABC News reported.
The victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries, cops said.
It comes after a teenager and a soldier were among 10 people killed in shootings that took place over the Juneteenth weekend.
At least 44 people were injured in the violence.
