Shakur Stevenson won twice on Saturday night.

The first win came when he defeated Oscar Valdez in a unanimous 117-110, 118-109, 118-109 decision. Stevenson dominated from minute one in front of a hostile crowd of 10,102 at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, managing to knock Valdez down in the sixth round. Valdez ended up hanging on, but never seriously threatened Stevenson. The win moves Stevenson to 18-0 in his career and drops Valdez to 30-1.

The second win came during the post-fight interview. Stevenson paused, got on one knee, brought out a ring, and proposed to his girlfriend, rapper Young Lyric … and she said yes.

Stevenson and Lyric have been dating for some time now, and had a daughter together, Leilani Asha Stevenson, in December of last year.

Stevenson represented Team USA in the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, winning a silver medal. He is currently ranked No. 1 on ESPN’s Junior Lightweight divisional rankings.

“I’m a superstar in this sport,” the 24-year-old Stevenson said after the fight ” … Line ’em up. I’m ready for whoever.”
